Cross Country Skiing in Aviemore

Our cross country skiing instructor, Peter Kucera Kay is a highly experienced and qualified cross country skiier with ISIA - BASI and x BASI Trainer & Mountain Instructor Certified qualifications.

Peter was originally trained by the Norwegians in the art of cross country ski-ing commonly known as nordic ski-ing in the early days, he became a royal marine mountain & artic survival instructor and worked for 15 yrs in Norway through the winter months teaching all aspects of winter mobility.

Peter is qualified to guide off piste and teach all aspects of cross country skiing both in tracks and cross country, familar with waxing and waxless skis.

Our cross country ski school (min of 4 people) will teach you the basics of ski techniques and advise you about glide and kick off phases of the discipline, for all those with waxing skis or mountain skis we shall improve your knowledge of care and maintenance, of your skis and equipment ski tourning will also include survival, avalanche recognition and protection and the use of avalanche pieps to give you a safe and enjoyable tour in the cairngorm mountains.

We also provide full cross country ski equipment hire
