A View of the Mountains
Beautiful winter view of Cairngorm
Aviemore itself is a bustling town at all times of the year and has much to offer the visitor, whether it is skiing in the winter, walking, hiking, cycling or sailing in the summer, there is something for everyone in the most beautiful and spectacular setting. no matter what the weather, the views both of and from Cairngorm and the surrounding mountains is stunning and constantly changing depending on the weather and the season.
A trip up the funicular mountain railway is a must and although often covered with cloud, this can change within minutes to provide fantastic views of nearly the whole of the north and west of Scotland, towards the Moray coast in the north and Ben Nevis in the west. there is a canteen style restaurant, bar, gift shop and viewing terrace at the top station and you can sit sipping hot chocolate while looking out the large windows towards loch Morlich. Tickets can be bought in our store and in our opinion, are worth every penny.
During snowsports season the mountain offers some of the best skiing in the UK and offers great fun for a day on the slopes.
